Damoni Wideman

I was born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia. I work primarily as a photographer, with interests in visual design and curation. I’m currently an art student, but I spend a lot of time thinking about how creative work exists beyond school—how it moves through business, culture, and everyday life.

My work is shaped by faith, family, and the environments I come from. I’m drawn to structure, repetition, and the way meaning builds over time. Much of what I make comes from paying attention—observing how people relate to one another, how spaces hold memory, and how order shows up in places that might feel ordinary at first.

Music, Black culture, and lived experience inform how I see and move, even when they aren’t directly visible in the images. I care deeply about process and discipline, and about staying close to the materials and ideas I’m working with. I’m less interested in spectacle, and more interested in work that reveals itself slowly.
